Thanks for reading and thanks especial...Hi Petra,

Thanks for reading and thanks especially for taking the time to comment on here, means a lot to me.

Well the age thing is interesting because Sinatra first played this role (although the character name was changed for Willis) when he was 53 years old. Now Willis is still playing the same character at 58 years old... and referencing Sinatra's music in the last film quite blatantly. He's now older than Sinatra was when he started it off.

So it's all kinda cyclic I guess. For the full details on the Sinatra version of the role, read my reviews of The Detective and then the first Die Hard movie.

Again, thanks for taking some time to read, I really appreciate it.NUTS4R2https://www.blogger.com/profile/08450069327397561514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2260387431722105524.post-87328625133005218952013-09-28T19:53:50.547+01:002013-09-28T19:53:50.547+01:00I just love how you always come up with things I h...I just love how you always come up with things I haven't thought about or paid attention too. That's why you are the blogger and me just one of the audience, listener, watcher and reader! lol My family and I are fans of the Die Hard franchise. I do have to agree, like so often, with you! lol Not sure if I should say sadly, but I never thought much about these movies and just crossed them off as good bad ass action. One thing I have thought about over time was, how McLane has aged over time. Like you pointed out he has kept himself in shape. Some of the things are a bit over the top, but it gives the audience the right "WOW" effect. I think in the latest installment of the franchise his age is being shown just a little bit and I do like it. Age doesn't just go by you unless you are a superhero or immortal! I think if you don't read too much into it, it makes for a very enjoyable action flick! ;-)Petra Cahillnoreply@blogger.com
